About this funding

LOCAL ONLY — California — Palo Alto Unified School District. The PiE Innovation Grants program, established in 1987, encourages teachers and staff to use innovative teaching methods that promote learning and collaboration. Grants are not intended to replace existing district funding but to seed innovation for projects beyond district or site scope. Successful applications demonstrate strong curricular justification, innovation, creativity, excellence, measurement of student outcomes, and a reasonable budget. Projects that integrate several departments, supplemental curriculum development, special equipment, and seed projects that can expand are favored. Funds do not cover iPods, iPads, ChromeBooks, laptops, furniture, food, transportation, consumables, ongoing salaries, or professional development.
